The EMKARATE RL lubricants are available in a range of viscosities to suit most refrigeration applications. The higher viscosity index (VI) of these lubricants minimizes energy consumption at low temperatures. The lubricants have excellent thermal and chemical stability, and are compatible with a range of elastomers, polymeric materials and other materials of construction. They are fully miscible and compatible with mineral oils and alkylbenzene lubricants as well as with CFC's, HCFC's and HFC's. As a result they are an excellent choice for retrofitting existing equipment.
OEM Approvals: Various viscosities of the EMKARATE RL lubricants are approved by all major OEM's, including Copeland, Carlyle (Carrier), Tecumseh, McQuay and many others.
The requirements of today's refrigeration and air conditioning compressor lubricants are complex. These lubricants must be compatible and miscible with the HFC refrigerants that the industry is moving to, and they must be compatible and miscible with the current CFC's and HCFC's as well as mineral oil and alkylbenzene oil. Polyol ester lubricants meet these needs, and EMKARATE RL line of polyol esters is the preferred choice.
EMKARATE brand of lubricants draws on extensive experience and expertise in refrigerant, lubricant and materials technology. They have achieved an unparalleled understanding of structure-property relationships and, working in close collaboration with compressor and system manufacturers, they have developed and commercialized OEM-approved POE lubricants covering a wide viscosity range from 7 cSt (35-40 SUS) to 220 cSt (1100 SUS) to suit most refrigeration applications.
These lubricants meet the highest quality standards. Their higher viscosity index is an indication that their effective viscosity will not change drastically with the wide swings in temperature seen by most typical refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This means that energy consumption will be minimized at low temperatures and lubrication will be maximized at elevated temperatures. The lubricants have excellent thermal and chemical stability, and are compatible with a wide range of elastomers, polymeric materials and other materials of construction. They are fully miscible and compatible with mineral oils and alkylbenzene lubricants as well as with CFC's, HCFC's and HFC's. As a result they are an excellent choice for retrofitting existing equipment as well as for OEM charging.
