Castrol sold their Refrigeration oil business to Uniquma Emkarate. If a Castrol product is recommend or needed, use Emkarate refrigeration oil or call Nu-Calgon 800-554-5499 to help cross a Castrol Oil to the appropriate Emkarate oil.

Castrol Icematic SW Lubricants

Castrol Icematic SW lubricants utilize new polyol ester basestocks that have been specifically synthesized to provide excellent miscibility with all HFC's over a wide temperature range. The products have been tested with many other refrigerants and are miscible with CFC and HCFC refrigerants as well.

The Icematic SW series is available in several viscosities, including but not limited to:
SW 32 = 150 SUS
SW 68 = 300 SUS
SW 100 = 500 SUS

Castrol has formulated a highly effective additive package into the Icematic SW product range to provide many important performance benefits. The Icematic lubricants have excellent thermal, oxidative and hydrolytic stability. Compressor wear is reduced and copper plating is eliminated.
